I’ve always been very vocal about my political views and have put my liberty on the line several times for my principles. The world is so polarised at the moment, it’s very easy to become entrenched when discussing nuanced and very complex subjects. For me, you can’t argue with a painting, you have to internalise and process it, even if you disagree with what it represents, and that’s why it’s so powerful.

Some of these projects were just reflections on news talking points of the day that require no real explanation. Others I feel much more passionately about and have been linked to written up articles including some of my insights and the reasons behind the action.
